How many classes do you recommend per week?
Energy (Qi) is accumulative, which means it takes time and momentum to build in your system. At last 2-3 classes per week ongoingly will allow for the greatest results.
I’m not flexible, can I still do yoga?
Yes. The more inflexible you are the more qualified you are to practice yoga. It is not a valid reason to not practice, in fact, it is even more of a reason to practice.
What is Qi Gong?
Qi Gong translates as “energy work”. The notion of Qi and how to move it through the body-mind comes out of Taoist, self-cultivation practices. The Chinese mystics studied natural forces for thousands of years and they discovered a body and breath movement system that encouraged the distribution of Qi throughout the body-mind to enhance health, healing and meditation.
The best way to understand it is to practice it and experience it for yourself. Thinking about it or using theories to try and explain it will never lead to full understanding.
